Aroai

Also from the East, Aroai is one of the Aiba or elder gods. Mother to the Eolai people, her beauty was unsurpassed and her voice was melodious. Along with Ekoe and Oshib, Aroai received the final gift of Ateon, an Eofaelsh seed, which empowered her to fight against Ilafai. In this battle, she ascended to the heavens, sacrificing her beauty and her freedom to hold the Dark One along with her in the sky, protecting the world from his wrath. The beautiful elan rose is her symbol and many of her worshippers cultivate large gardens of these flowers. Aroai is also patron of the arts, as long as the subject is pleasing to the eye; she does not favor the darker pieces. She is often depicted as a stunningly beautiful Eolai woman with long blue-black hair shrouding half of her face. Temples to Aroai are erected wherever beauty can be found, be it in the center of town or in the countryside, and they are often are filled with extravagant goods.
