Description:	A web weaving beetle. Cahic are non-aggressive, will only attack if protecting their larvae/or themselves from aggressors. They grow up to one to four feet in height, two to five feet in length, and one and a half to three feet wide. Females tend to be electric blue, vibrant blue, azure (strong blue shades). Males tend to be shades of black. Older cahic tend to be dark blue or indigo as females, dark brown as males. Cahic fight using the mandible, which has a strong grip. The females have been known to use the web as a form of defense; they are able to spray it from their mouth at attackers to hinder them.
Uses:	A soft fabric also called cahic is made from their webs, used for making clothing, this fabric only comes in silver shades (silver, silvery-blue, silvery-green etc) and is not dyeable. A paste-like substance can be made from the webs, when mixed with a few components that protects to an extent from the acid of the xareisar-cahic; the paste may be rubbed over the surface to partially protect the wearer.
Habitat:	Cahic naturally occur in caves with a water supply, or in burrowed warrens near rivers and other bodies of fresh water.
