Corveran
Description: A desert dwelling animal most often used for transport and packing, the corveran looks quite a bit like a large llama. A short set of curved horns lay flat over the head (think cape buffalo) but (because the animal's neck is not powerfully built) offer no real use except to the males during rut, when they take turns butting heads in a show of dominance. Corveran are, as a rule, gentle animals and even during these displays rarely wound each other. They are long necked and thickly furred with large eyes and feathered (hair) ears that droop beneath their horns. They are not hooved, but instead develop insensitive callous-like material along the bottoms of their thickly-padded feet. Generally standing around 4 and a half feet at the shoulder with another nearly 3 feet in neck, the corveran is a bit akward in appearance and in no way fast, but evolution has equipped them to survive extremes in both heat and cold with minimal maintenance.
