ECHAK ISLAND!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The resort community of Echak Island is pleased to announce the opening of its
water taxi service to those interested in visiting this exotic locale,
available off the dock of the Isle of Mist. While there is plenty to do in the
tourist environs (with more to come), the resident authorities do want to warn
of the dangers lurking in the surrounding area.
For those courageous (blindly or no) delvers, more of Mount Echak is able to
be explored... and its dark secret feared.
Fishermen and sightseers have reported spotting lots of dangerous aquatic life
swimming off the island's eastern shoreline.
** Another aquatic species has established its habitat on Echak Island's
coast. While the same relative level of the area, this armored creature poses
a unique threat when provoked.
** Feared even by the nowbi populace, their champions have been limited to
dwelling on the volcanic side of the jungle surrounding the nowbi village.
** A new shop has opened in Tegaro Village, next to the tanning villa. This
modest store is for those that enjoy simpler crafting with their hands, and is
available for all professions.
** For the sake of convenience, the departure dock for the water taxi has been
moved from the Isle of Mist to the heretofore unused dock in the Eolai
quarter.
** Residents of Echak Island, trackers and fletchers alike rejoice, as Master
Fletcher Oehia has taken quarter in the Fletcher's Hideout in Tegaro Village.
Her only request, "Bring your own damned sticks."

Update 12/18
In an attempt to strengthen defense of their village against incursions by
interlopers, the Nowbi have set up scouts in a lookout perimiter around their
homes.

Update 12/19
Minor volcanic activity has exposed several natural fissures and caverns along
the inactive side of Mount Echak.
