Glim Faethyn

Glim Faethyn is a male Eolai Psionic and was among the first adventurers to come to Llanfair.
He is presently a Defender of the Crown, named by Prince Aegan during a ceremony held at The Blue Aroai resort.
As of the fourth season of Jojun, 251 NC, Glim Faethyn appears to have come out of retirement.
History
Glim Faethyn was born to the Clan Faethyn (a large family of Eolai marked by silver eyes) and spent his early life being raised by them. At the age of 75 seasons, he left his ancestral home and began to roam Haelrahv, never settling for too long in one place.
After 25 seasons of wandering he settled for a time in a small village on the continent of Junabi, far off the beaten path.
While records from the village were lost during an attack by an unknown party, some details have been pieced together and recorded here for posterity.
During the high heat of Haju, 216NC a war was begun against the village Glim Faethyn resided in. It is speculated that the attack was launched by a neighboring village to the north, but no evidence has been found to establish this as fact.
Regardless of who the aggresor was, their initial attack was swift and brutal. The meager walls of the large village were no match for the overwhelming might of the attackers.
Evidence of prototype longshot pulse rifles were found, unexpended cores littering the ragged perimeter of the village. Current thought suggests the invaders were largely a melee outfit equipped with varied blades, bludgeoning weapons and polearms backed up by a lesser force of riflemen and archers.
The first wave of attack was carried out by means of hand catapults lobbing pitch-laden metal balls over the walls, the balls designed to break open upon contact, spreading flame throughout the village. The invading force then pulled back, allowing terror within the walls to build. Those few that attempted escape were quickly picked off by the riflemen, else tortured to death before the village entrance to the horror of the residents.
It was during this period that Glim Faethyn and a handful of friends, met during his early adventures, plotted the safe escape of the villagers. Notable among his small band of companions were the Eolai Elder of the village, Jyan(also known jokingly as Aroai) and a young Human Mage known as Evan 'The Dark Ewoae'.
Many villagers had died during the flamestrike, many more wounded too serious to travel.
Though no doubt a mystery at the time, most of the villagers escaped the doomed village just before the main attack of the invaders. The attackers, frustrated at the loss of their prey, looted and razed the village, leaving it little more than the broken rubble and charred wood seen today.
Modern excavations near what is left of the ruined village(conducted for eventual burial of a Datastream Technologies landline) cleared up the mystery, having revealed a labrynthine array of tunnels radiating out for miles from below the central square of the village.
While Glim Faethyn has been reluctant to divulge his full role in these events, he has acknowledged being the original discoverer of the ancient tunnels and having launched a single-handed attack to ward off the invaders while the villagers slipped out through the tunnels.
One person, who remains anonymous, that was present that grim day suggested that Glim's current demeanor is, at least in part, a result of what he witnessed while pacing the walls of the village.
