Jade Venra was born some ninety-two seasons ago to an unknown couple, of which it is only clear
one was Human and the other Darju (this was confirmed via genetic testing). Whereas Jade appears to be Darjuan to most anyone who sees her, the truth is belied by her habits and inclinations. Not much else is known about her birth history, and to this day, efforts to discover more have been in vain. Even the Llanfair Courthouse and Majesty Hospital have not been able to supply any notable birth records. Thus Jade's biological family past remains a mystery.
Sometime after her birth, the infant Jade was abandoned in the woods near Llanfair, for reasons still unclear. She was later adopted by a Llanfair citizen (Mrs. Dregonard Lefear, a local Tracker) and soon became part of an extensive family, the likes of which she had never before known. This fortunate event would be the first of many turning points in Jade's life.
UPBRINGING
Jade was rather sickly as a child, but it is at least apparent that she inherited a fighting spirit. Early on, she expressed a fondness for combat and found a way to overcome her physical weakness through martial arts training, in which she showed exceptional talent. Inspired by some of Llanfair's local Troopers (most notably her aunt by adoption, Mrs. Mellie Knight), Jade also entered a military youth academy at an early age, where she received a quality education and a chance to serve her community.
ADOLESCENCE
She graduated early from the Academy, and spent a few seasons as a travelling mercenary before becoming of age to enter the military proper. During this period, she worked in the generally lawless Titan City, providing backup to military forces. It was also there that Jade completed her initial military training and befriended a fellow Darju, a Mercenary by the name of Kala Kenme.
ADULT LIFE
Surprisingly enough, after finishing her initial training, Jade was reassigned to Llanfair to help stabilise and develop the city's military forces. She considers this tour of duty as one of her most important missions.
Despite her Darjuan background, Jade firmly believes that a benevolent force had an impact on her life and brought her away from a terrible fate. She is an adherent of Oshib, the Eolaish god of wisdom and knowledge.
Jade has never fully been able to satisfy her curiosity about the details of her origin. She still continues to try and piece things together when she has time to think, but slowly she is beginning to learn to let the past be and work toward improving Llanfair's future.
