Not many people know very much about Liv Kza, as she doesn't often volunteer information about herself to others. She never accepts tips for her work as a medic, and those she trusts know it is because after her people suffered greatly under Nkati, Liv doesn't believe she should be paid for easing pain. The recent events with the followers of Rihdtu have disturbed Liv greatly and she is aggrieved that her people would be perpetuating such horrors that they themselves escaped from in their early history. However, she still chooses to remain isolated and only shows up when the people warring against the followers of Rihdtu are in need of her medical help.
Liv despises being touched by mostly everyone. She'll politely suffer through a hug or a smooch, but one should not expect her to return the affection. She has not allowed anyone to get very close to her, taking the history of the Darju to heart and believing that relationships are a weakness that can be used against her should someone ever wish to hurt her. She finds weakness pitiful and bears scarring performed by Tkil that reads "Lahkka motfa Falzhar" which translates to "Beauty through Strength", which she believes serves as a constant reminder of how her people's past has shaped her future.
While very good at alchemy, Liv prefers to spend her time alone, hunting only evil creatures with her trademark scythe. Liv resides in Wei Wao's rollerdisco after Wei came across Liv in her early days in Llanfair and took the young medic under her wing. Therefore, Liv has become acquainted with the residents there, including Ebeon Oceolai and Alexi Nuarewaa, but prefers to sit on the sidelines when there are social events going on. While Liv is not verbose and may not show it very often, she looks up to Jade Venra, who she considers to have an outstanding moral character, as well as Dixie Pierce and Garidon Finnin, both of whom she views as medics who inspire her.
