Mob

Mob, derived from an old MUD term Mobile (which referred to moving objects within the game), is now a widely used term in MMORPGs and MUDs today. In most cases a Mob and an NPC are the exact some thing. The main difference being that an NPC usually some serves some purpose (quests, training, selling merchandise), whereas Mob is a term used to define objects in the game world which can be hunted (whether for fun or experience/learning). The Agent guild leader [[Hyas Tee] is an NPC, where as a Mottled Gragrok is a Mob.
