Points by Christmas

On 10/24/06, Trevor announced a fundraising promotion. Purchases that affect players and characters in the game will generate a certain point value. If the cumulative points reach 100 by Christmas, every character will be rewarded a RETRAIN (more information on this below).
Here is the original in-game announcement (NEWS 204):
As a fundraiser and promotion, from now through Christmas (December 25th), we'll be totaling points according to the following schedule: Monthly subscriptions - 1 point Three month prepaid package - 3 points Six month prepaid package - 7 points One year prepaid package - 14 points BAF Packages (NEWS 142) New Journey - 10 points Grand Discovery - 20 points Famed Explorer - 50 points Character Services (NEWS 190) 25 item vault increase - 1 point 50 item vault increase - 2 points 2 furnishing home space increase - 1 point 4 furnishing home space increase - 2 points Every subscription payment, prepaid package, bring a friend (BAF) package and character service purchase that anyone in the Haelrahv community makes counts toward our goal: 100 points before Christmas. This is an easily achieved goal! The RETRAIN allows the following: ability to retrain skills, stats, and re-select weapon proficiencies. Possibly traits and flaws if Trevor decides in favor of that. Characters will not be allowed to change age, race, features, or profession.

Special Notes
- There is now an in-game command to check for up-to-date values on this promotion: XMASPROMO.
- Yaru Dex would like everyone to know that he ordered a Famed Explorer package several months ago and is DEEPLY SADDENED that this purchase will not be reflected in this promotion. He is willing to do anything to get this changed.
- We reached our goal for the RETRAIN on 11/14/06. That's in just 22 days! However, the good news doesn't end there!
[11.14.06] Congratulations, we've reached the goal of 100 points! The retraining option will be granted to all players in the future before or at Christmas time. Someone had asked on the forums about the potential to get a reallocation (i.e. so you could even change race and profession, name - about everything) instead of a retraining. I said I'd let it fly if we accomplished something crazy, like 250 points. Well, that goal is pretty lofty and not necessarily reasonable, but my promise stands and if we hit 250 before Christmas I'll release a reallocation to everyone instead of a retraining. Either way, everyone has pulled together as a community and locked in at least a retraining so congratulations!

[12.24.06] We'd like to thank everyone for their absolutely diehard support. We're pleased to announce that everyone has been awarded one reallocation. Please use it wisely, each character only gets one! Reallocations cannot be donated to other characters, replaced or refunded. Only characters created before this notice are eligible to reallocate. Note that you'll lose any custom work done on facial features and other special body features if you reallocate. Also note you'll need to go to a trainer, level up manually to your max level by asking the trainer about level, and re-train skills and stats as if you were levelling normally.
