Poison Resistance
From Haelrahv Wiki
Poison Resistance works very simply. When you drink a poison, there is a percentile chance that you will be affected, or that you will resist it. Your chance to resist it is, naturally, how high (or low) your poison resistance is. Poison Resistance has no effect on how strong or weak the poisons that affect you are. There are Spellsongs that temporarily raise poison resistance, also every 5 points of vitality permanently grants +1% to poison resistance. You can also raise your resistance by being poisoned by traps, player-made poisons, and/or creatures. Training your resistance with poisons is the most effective method, and training it this way is also a permanent boost. Training with poisons does eventually cap out, the cap is rumored to be a gain of +40% from drinking poisons (not that poisons won't teach past 40%, but that you may gain a total of 40% to your poison resistance this way, before it no longer teaches). Not every poison will be able to train your resistance +40% though, and it is important to know that certain poisons teach to certain heights. The general rule is that the poisons that can be fatal teach the best, with everything else gradually declining in how much percentage it will teach you.
It is believed that Poison Resistance also aids in the poisoning of weapons, much in the same way resisting a normal poison works. When you go to apply the poison, you have a percentage to be affected and a percentage to resist (your poison resistance percentile, naturally). If you would resist the poison, this would result in a clean application of the poison. Other stats and skills (coordination and Poisons skill) may factor in as well.
