SURVEYING a particular area allows you to discern a large amount of information about that room. Usage is: SURVEY

Among the information given is:

  • Type of terrain
  • Elevation
  • Whether it is day or night (provided you can see the sky)
  • What you personally can find by foraging
  • What you personally can find by mining
  • Amount of tramplage (you will not be able to find things as easy in a trampled area)
  • Jurisdiction

Below is an example of a survey taken at the popular foraging spot of the Crossroads of the Western Dirt Road, found outside the east gate of Llanfair. 


Looking carefully at your surroundings, you note the primary composition of the terrain as
an abundance of dirt, a fair concentration of grass, and a small amount of fresh water.
This area is at sea level.
It is currently day.

It looks like you could forage an ortus flower, some sirolei ivy, a catlas flower,
an imfel seed, an argurat fruit, a three-leaf clover, a pink eorit stone, a 
vexri stone, a shoran jewel, a rkol gem, a block of brown clay, and a 
nabiko gem here.
The terrain here appears to be slightly trampled.

This area is under the jurisdiction of the government of Llanfair.
