The Sky and Other Heavenly Bodies (Eolai)

Ibeo, the sun
Provider of warmth and sustainer of life. Mother of the moons, Ilav and Jadda. Since the moons already have names, I won't touch on that but I may poke out a legend or twelve.
S'ila, the Bruvsho constellation
Bruvsho are important symbols in the Eolai culture, representing the strength, courage, joy, and beauty the Eolai cherish in all things. The constellation S'ila always appears the clearest on the darkest of nights, seeming to stalk across the night sky, the tightly packed star clusters of Paena and Neis form the bruvsho's face, glowing like yellow eyes in the sky. Bruvsho are in the native life DB....but basically they're something between a cat and a unicorn. They have a horn, and a thick pelt which covers a reptilian skin. They can grow up to six feet from paw to head, and can be found in mountains and grasslands....perfect for Esia. Almost every part of their body can be used.
Rel'sur
The first star seen in the night sky, and brightest. It is actually the planet closest to Haelrahv. It burns in the night sky with a greenish glow, many call it the jewel of the night. Rel'sur is used by many travelers for navigational purposes. Legends say that Rel'sur was the son of F'braal, a great leader of the Eolai. Legend has it that F'braal's son was so beautiful that anyone looking upon him cried with joy at his beauty. This could easily be a good example of the Eolai belief in self worship.....perhaps Rel'sur was SOOO beautiful (Like Beau) that the gods hung him in the sky to keep him forever young.
Say'lesh, the Warrior Constellation
Eolai are normally a peaceful race (really), but occasionally circumstances force the Eolai to defend themselves. During these times heroes are born and many legends arise around them. Say'lesh is one of the Eolai's greatest heroes. The constellation is made up of 12 distinct stars which appear as a humanoid figure with arm raised. Every 185 years the comet known as Eri (also known as Say'lesh's sword) appears, and anyone looking up into the sky will see the comet touch Say'lesh's outstretched arm. This is always seen as an omen approaching conflict amongst the Eolai.
Saereen, the Lady Constellation
Legend has it that once amongst the Eolai there lived a Lady of immense beauty and kindness who possessed great powers of healing. When a terrible plague threatened to exterminate the entire Eolai race, she gathered up all the people and in turn removed the disease from each individual, taking the disease into herself. She then asked that she be sealed within a tomb (possibly one of the Eolai temples on Esia) whose location was secret to all but those who constructed it, and swore to never reveal its whereabouts. There it is believed she still rests using her powers to heal herself over the ages until she is well again, ready to come to the Eolai's aid if she is needed. The constellation itself is made up of 7 stars forming an infinity symbol. The star at the center of the symbol is called Iwae.
Kerai & Sifea, the Lovers
These two stars are by far the prettiest stars in the night sky. Atmospheric conditions make these stars twinkle in a multitude of colors. Legend has it that Kerai and Sifea's love for one another was so strong and pure that when faced with an invading force, rather than risk capture, servitude, and inevitable torture, they leapt hand in hand from the top of a cliff to their deaths on the rocks below.
U'eerv
The largest of the planets visible with the naked eye from the planet Haelrahv. Twice yearly U'eerv's orbit brings it close enough to Haelrahv that its mountainous surface is clearly distinguishable. Fractures visible on the surface are seen by the Eolai as great flowing rivers, though in reality they are deep fissures from which gasses and dust flow.
Etidoree
A small planet, only slightly larger than Haelrahv. It's distance makes it appear as a bright star in the late evening and early morning skies. Only recently has it been discovered that this planet is apparently capable of sustaining life.
